КУРС №1

In this course, we thoroughly examine the overall structure of the shipping world to understand its intricate details. The course covers the hierarchy that makes up the management and control of shipping as a whole: the UN, IMO, Flag State, Classification Societies, IACS (International Association of Classification Societies), and Insurance Organizations.

To gain a detailed understanding of the management structure in shipping and the interactions between Shipping Companies, Flag Administrations, Class Representatives, and Insurance Societies, the course explores company audits, ship surveys, and clearly outlines the interconnected responsibilities not only of the company’s management but also of the onboard crew for successful Port State Control (PSC) inspections.

The codes for remarks, the principle of addressing them, and subsequent reporting to the Class and Flag Administration regarding their closure are all part of this course.

Ultimately, the key indicator of effective management by both the company’s shore-based team and the vessel’s crew is achieving a “Clean Report” during PSC inspections at ports.
