Course Description

Dual Fuel 2-Stroke WINGD 5X-72DF Engines – this is new model of engines that are installed on the state of art LNG Gas Carriers. That course will give you brief description of the Construction features of the new Gas Carriers with better isolation features of the Tanks. Evaporation percentage of that tanks is lowered just to 0.07% from the volume and that will allow to use all boil off gas only for the engines. Extra boiloff gas could be cooled down by the Spot Coolers. That course will allow you to understand main items that are common between Cas Carriers with DFDE Engines and with WINGD Engines and will show you most different items on board.

If you are looking for possibilities to enhance your knowledge in regard to the LNG Cas Carriers or you want to work on board of such vessels, it will be the best option to start familiarization and investigation with modern systems and technologies, which are installed on these ships. it is achieved by this course.

This course will allow you to study the layout of the ER and main components there. During real round in the ER comments and remarks will be given with detailed description to each machinery and system on board of modern LNG X-DF vessel. IGG, IGG blowers, IGG coolers, IGG Dryers, N2 Generator, N2 buffer tank, hydraulic power pack stations, Auxiliary boilers and Auxiliary Diesel Generators all of these will be reviewed in course.

Our course is specially prepared to improve knowledges regarding modern LNG gas carriers, and gives opportunity to acquaintance with current equipment and maintenance of it.

In this course we are continue to overview features regarding operation and maintenance modern LNG carriers X-DF type. These vessels are the new step of development interrelated with transferring the LNG by sea. We continue to round the ER and pay attention on auxiliary engines Hyundai Himsen and the principle of it supplying by methane, because these engines are also dual fuel type.

If you are looking for possibilities to enhance your knowledge in regard to the LNG Cas Carriers or you want to work on board of such vessels, it will be the best option to start familiarization and investigation with modern systems and technologies, which are installed on these ships. it is achieved by this course.

This course will familiarize you with modern LNG carriers X-DF type. This gas carrier is equipped by two modern dual fuel two-stroke main engines WINGD 5X-72 DF. These engines can be operated as on methane (boil off gas), as on fuel oil. Methane is supplied to engine by means of SOGAV. Peculiarities and futures of this valve is reflected in this course. In comparison with Wartsila 50DF engines, which are also equipped with such valves, valves of WINGD engines are more improved regarding safety margin. It’s caused by change of activating principle. Additionally, this lecture includes information about constructive innovations, such as electrical balancing mechanisms.

In current days, LNG industry is moved ahead. If you already have worked on this fleet, or just want to work in future, our course will be a good assistance during preparation to interview.

In this course we will supplement information about equipment, that is installed on modern LNG carriers X-DF type. It is observed lower deck of this vessel, and lecture includes information about ballast water treatment system. Also, we will speak in details about stern tube system, principle of bearings lubrication.

In this moment, LNG industry is developed and quickly expanded.  If you already have worked on this fleet, or just want to work in future, our course will give a good familiarization with similar LNG carriers and enhance your theoretical knowledges regarding the modern LNG industry.

This course includes information about detail description of stern tube oil system, that is installed on board on modern LNG gas carrier. It is observed construction peculiarities of stern tube seals, as well as consider thoroughly adjustment procedure of Air guard system.

We speak about troubleshooting, possible leakages during operation and cooling system of stern tube.

This course is dedicated to familiarization with current LNG gas carriers X-DF type. The vessel, that is observed in course, was built in 2023. Besides, improved economic efficiency, the vessel is conformed to modern environmental protective requirements. The vessel was built in accordance with Tier 3 regulation, it means, that during the operation on distillate or residual fuels, exhaust gases must be filtered to decrease the NOx. The vessel is equipped with SCR unit – Selective Catalytic Reduction. We will observe principle of operation, construction features and maintenance, that can be faced on board.

In case you are looking for opportunity to increase your knowledges regarding construction futures of LNG carriers, this course will give you the best help to do it.

In the supplement of previous lecture, we continue discuss about the SCR module. Principle of operation and prospective maintenance are observed. Besides of LNG transferring complexity, current LNG vessels are faced with environmental rules and requirements, which are hamper LNG vessel operation. High level of automation requires more knowledge from Marine Engineers.

In the conclusion of this course, we prepare information about IAS – Integrated Automation System. This system is the upper automation level of modern vessels. Investigation of this system is very useful to understand the set of equipment and troubles, that can be faced during the operation of current LNG vessels.
